Codan has appointed Pieter Guichelaar as Chief Operating Officer (COO), strengthening its executive leadership team as the company continues to expand its global operations.
Guichelaar brings more than 20 years of experience across aerospace, automotive and advanced manufacturing, with leadership roles spanning general management, production, supply chain and engineering across Europe, the USA and APAC.
He spent much of his career with engineering company GKN, where he led supply chain and operations at a large manufacturing site in Germany, established a global industrial services business and developed the company’s first group-wide innovation capability.
Following GKN’s acquisition, Guichelaar worked with high-growth start-ups to scale operations and commercialise advanced technologies across biotech hardware, additive manufacturing, aerospace, defence, automotive and consumer technology.
As COO, Guichelaar will oversee strategic planning and business growth, manufacturing and supply chain operations, IT and digital enablement, continuous improvement, and strategic projects supporting Codan’s growth.
