Codan has appointed David Baxby as a Non-Executive Director, effective 2 November 2026, adding international executive leadership, corporate finance and governance experience to the Board.
The appointment supports Codan’s commitment, outlined most recently at its 2026 Annual General Meeting, to strengthen the Board with additional skills and perspectives as the Group grows in scale and complexity.
David brings more than 30 years of international experience, including senior roles at Wesfarmers, Virgin Group, Global Blue and Goldman Sachs. His expertise spans industrial businesses, capital allocation, acquisitions and portfolio management.
Codan Chairman Graeme Barclay said David’s appointment would build on the strengths of the existing Board and add depth in areas relevant to the Group’s continued growth.
“Our Board has served Codan well through a significant period of growth. As the Group continues to evolve, we are building the depth of experience and capability around the Board table to support Codan’s next phase.
“David brings executive international leadership experience and deep expertise in industrial businesses, M&A and capital allocation. His skills and experience will complement the Board’s existing public markets, technology and operational capabilities as Codan continues to expand internationally and pursue strategic growth opportunities. We look forward to his contribution.”
David is currently Lead Independent Director of Washington H. Soul Pattinson, a Non-Executive Director of RediMed and Harris Farm Markets, and Chancellor of Bond University.
He joins Chair Graeme Barclay, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Alf Ianniello, and Non-Executive Directors Kathy Gramp, Sarah Adam-Gedge and Heith Mackay-Cruise.
